ACE is the story of the legendary and glamorous gambler, ACE WHITE (Pierce Brosnan) “the most famous gambler in the world.” Ace is pursued by LEFTY WILSON, a young gambler from the poor outskirts of New Orleans who seeks out Ace in hope of learning how to compete in the world’s most elite and exclusive poker tournament.

Lefty’s pursuit of Ace takes him to the South of France, where after several days of searching, he finally finds Ace, only to be rejected. 

Determined, Lefty continues his pursuit. Ace takes Lefty under his wing, smoothing his rough edges and transforming him from a scruffy street wise guy to a debonair gentleman. Membership in this exclusive club carries perils as well as privileges. In the beautiful decadence of New Orleans, they collide with Ace’s sordid past and Lefty discovers the dark side to this high-stakes, jet-set world of international gambling. 

Only with Ace’s help can Lefty navigate the minefield of gentlemen, strongmen, down-on-their-luck ingénues, ice-queen-card-sharks and million dollar players, all searching for a seat at the table of the greatest game of them all.
