Lying
in Wait
|
“Lying in Wait” is a gripping suspense thriller about
a lonely, young artist, Babee, who is thrown into a world of
lust, deceit and murder when he befriends his new neighbors,
Keith (Rutger Hauer) and his wife, Vera (Virginia Madsen).
Intrigued by his neighbors, Babee constantly spies on them.
While peeking through the bushes, he begins lusting after the
beautiful Vera. He also discovers that Keith is cheating on
his wife.
Everything changes after Keith is involved in a life-threatening
car accident and is pronounced brain-dead. Feeling guilty about
his feelings for Vera, Babee is compelled to help Vera take
care of Keith.
As Babee falls in love with the lonely Vera, he soon discovers
that Keith
is faking his illness in order to settle the score with a few
friends who
have betrayed him. Keith kills two close friends -- disguising
the murders
as suicides. The only problem is that Keith speaks only to Babee.
In this twist and turns of mind games and murder, it is hard
to extract reality
from imagination of the players. |
