SECRET STONE

This story is based on real experiences.

SEAN STONE and his famous director father, OLIVER, tell ghost stories for guests at a dinner table. Sean takes out his camera to film the captivated guests as Oliver shares a scary memory from his youth of an old ‘witch’ lady named Crazy Kate who killed campers in the woods near his summer camp. Oliver swears he saw Crazy Kate one night in the forest.

The friends take turns sharing their ghost stories. Oliver’s young filmmaker friend ALEX relates his theories of ‘shadows’, the entities that attack people in the night. Alex tells of a place he’s been researching - an old psychiatric hospital which has been completely shut down, and since then, fallen into disrepair.

In the past, the hospital was known for its radical treatment of patients with mental illness.—Patients were tormented with electroshock and insulin therapy, and lobotomies were commonplace. Torturous treatments meant to heal illness created gruesome sights in the name of medical science.

The filmmakers and their friends dare each other to face their darkest fears and take their cameras to the most famous haunted asylum in North America.

They soon discover they are not alone.
